COVID-19: Update as of 4/1/2020

Coronavirus Planning: FULL-TIME Telehealth week 2

(update as of 4/1 @ 11:00 p.m.)

As of April 1, 2020, doctors at NBS-JAX have now been seeing patients for a 8 days using only TELEHEALTH.

Patients aged 7-84 have been able to use the Teams Meeting platform to successfully connect with their doctors for psychotherapy and for neuropsychological intakes. Doctors are providing support and treatment to patients and caregivers for a variety of patients. Some patients have been on the schedule for months with the goal of proper diagnosis and treatment. Other patients are struggling to find a regular structured routine during COVID-19. And, some patients just need some genuine tools to help them deal with longstanding depression, anxiety, or pain which have all been exacerbated by COVID-19.

Many of our patients are unable to attend their usual regularly scheduled exercise classes, support groups, counseling meetings, rehabilitation therapy sessions (speech, cognitive, physical, occupational therapies), and are confined in their homes. The doctors of NBS-JAX are able to review concerns, provide strategies, and then collaborate with patients’ referring providers (neurologists, primary care physicians, and psychiatrists) in order to facilitate optimal treatment.

Please reach out, CONNECT, and touch base with our office manager, Donny, if you need help during these challenging times. Donny continues to work remotely and has limited phone time each day. Feel free to complete the INTAKE SCREENER on our website or email directly to her front desk address: [email protected]
